    June 3, 2008

Today is the marking of Madeysen Elyse Kleve's begining to eternal life. Thank you to all the friends that took the time to give their prayers and thoughts out to the grieving familys.

You never really know how much it hurts to lose someone until the moment is gone and past. God forbid this should ever happen to anyone, but in some cases its unavoidable.

I seem to forget how hard the closing of a life can be. Yet everytime it comes about it all comes back to me very fast. The tears that are shed and the hearts that remain broken can finally after closure be dried up and mended. Though this is not easy it is done alot.

    Broken Chain

We little knew that moning God was going to call your name. In life we loved you dearly, in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you. You did not go alone. For part of us went with you. The day God called you home.

You left us beautiful memories. Your love is still our guide, and though we cannot see you, you are always by our side. If tears could build a stariway and memories were a lane. We would walk right up to heaven and bring you back again.

    unkonwn.....

This passage was written on the hand out given by the church. When I read this the tears began to flow and didn't stop until the last moments in the cemetery.

During the ceremony Maddies father had a little story to share. As he read it I thought long and hard. He mentioned the fact that Maddie was beginning to prep for college and before she went she wanted to show him yet again how much he meant to her. She put together a slide show of pictures of herself and her family. In the background she played "Ready Set Don't go" by Billy Rae and Myle Cyrus. The ironic thing about this is she made this slide show a week before the accident, and refused to watch it with her father for the simple fact of not wanting to see him cry. The question in my mind was did she know she was ready to go and didn't know another way to say it or was it just irony.

Now that Madeysen has been laid to rest we can all move forward and live life as we once did. Even though she is gone she will forever stay in our hearts.

    One full weekend

    Sunday, June 1, 2008, 10:25 PM [General]

Wow what a weekend it was.

Friday night a few of us got together and decided to go about the town and hit a few bars.  It was a lot of fun.  First we hit up Pickle Park in Fridley and watched "Good For Gary" play a few songs.  They were pretty good.  After about an hour there we decided to hop over to Blaine and check out Majors where we finished up the night.  I haven't seen that many people in a bar for a long time.  The dj did his best to keep everyone on the dance floor and by the end of the night you couldn't see the floor anymore.

Saturday I went out to my Aunt's house and helped the family tidy up the yard for the upcoming family functions.  We spent the day mowing, weed whipping, hauling logs and drinking.  Sometimes I forget how big our family actually is.

Sunday was supposed to be a day to sit, but that quickly turned into the daily chores everyone hates to do.  However, after the work was done we hit the lake.  Granted it was 80 outside, but the lake isn't quite warm enough.  It did feel good on the weekend sunburn.  After the lake we got a call from another Aunt to come out for some food and volley ball.  I wouldn't say you could call any of us good but we managed to play a couple games in the few hours we were out there, dodging kids, dogs and each other.

Now that its over I'm ready to start another week of work and chores.  I just hope the weekend comes quick!!!

    After shock

    Thursday, May 29, 2008, 08:52 PM [General]

The night was rough and the day was short.  However my mind almost never wandered from the family of the victims in the car crash Wednesday afternoon.  I found it easier for me to think of reasons as to why it was her turn to go.  Granted I and several others don't see it fair, but if you see it in another prospective the heart tends to not hold such hurt.

Alot of the times you hear the conversation about god fluttering about many people.  Does he exist or does he not.  It's a never ending conversation that will live on well past our times.  I see it this way, God is someone that everyone is taught to look up to and ask for a happier place than where we are now.  It's hard to know if he is a natural being or a just another story book character that someone dreamed up one night.

The way I found today to keep my tears from flowing was to think of Maddie not dying in an act of stupidity or at the carelessness of someone elses hands, but looking at it more as the end of her book.  Maddie's book was yes far shorter than some, but maybe that was the plan.  Her job on earth was over.  Now she gets to look at another life or even finally getting to lay eternally in the sanctity of heaven where most of us dream to be.  Either way she is happy and we will eventually see her again.  We may not recognize her but we'll know her by the presence that she impressioned us with in the time that she was here.

Once again I ask that you keep the thought for Maddie going.  Maybe not today maybe not tomorrow but someday We'll all get to see her shining sould one last time.

Was it really her turn to go?

    Wednesday, May 28, 2008, 11:06 PM [General]

Last night my phone rang. Sitting at a friends house I didn't want to answer the phone and start gabbing so I let it ring. When I stepped out to the car and prepared for the ride home I noticed I had a voicemail. I listened to it and realized it was Sam, and she was beyond her normal self. She was almost hysterical. How she remained calm while telling me the news I will never know cause I wouldn't have been able to do so.

I listened to the voicemail and called her immedietally. This is where I heard the horrific news. Last night on Highway 55 near Annandale, MN. Maddie Kleve and some friends were driving down the road and were part of a horrific car accident. Taking the life of Maddie and leaving two others in critical condition. I have yet to hear names of the other passengers. If you knew or know the family please keep them in your prayers.

Maddie was to be a recent graduate of Howard Lake Waverly Winsted HIghschool this year, but someone had other plans for her. Maddie may you rest in peace and keep watch over us all. You were well known and one of the kindest hearted people I know. It is sad to see you go.

    Star Party 2008

    Friday, May 16, 2008, 01:20 AM [General]

First off I have to say thank you to a guy who made this birthday the best birthday ever. Josh from connect. I can't thank him enough for giving me his extra ticket. Most of everyone on here knows who he is, I mean come on, he was totally stoked today when he learned he surpassed Intern John's hits. So when you get done reading this please go to Josh's page and give him some props from me. I have already done so but he would appreciate it greatly.

Once again if I wasn't for Josh this story would never have happened.

So we arrived at Star Party a little late. Ray J had already played and fled the building leaving Gavin on the stage. As Gavin was playing I decided to hit the bar and get a drink. As I was walking by a couple girls asked if I could do a favor for them. They wanted me to take their picture, which was cool no problem at all. I brought the camera up and focused in, at that moment I almost dropped the camera. That was the moment I realized Pierre, lead singer of Simple Plan was standing in between them. I instantly became star struck. I took the picture for them and walked to the bar. Thinking in my head I didn't want to be one of those people who go gaga over their favorite band. As I thought about it I told myself what kind of birthday present to myself would I be missing if I didn't ask. Let me tell you I would have missed the best experience ever. I walked back and asked the girls if they would take my picture as well. As you can tell from the picture I was a bit star struck still, I forgot to smile. As soon as they gave my camera back I shook both artists hands and walked away a little giddy. I got to the bar ordered my drinks and got on my phone instantly to text Josh, Steph and everyone in my phone book, to tell them what had just happened to me. Needless to say after we all met up and discussed what had happeded we walked back over and asked for a few more pics.

After all the excitement of meeting Simple Plan, we went down to stage floor and started working our way up through the crowd. Adam Levine started playing and he rocked the house. I have a video of him singing Wake Up Call, and several pictures. Even though it was only an accoustical performance they still played awesome as always. Next in line was Danity Kane. We were all a bit upset that they only played three songs, but they did a great job as well.

Next came Simple Plan. Let me tell you I pushed my way through the crowd and got as close to stage as I possibley could. I wasn't going to let this be a repeat of Hallenbeck Hall in St. Cloud two or three years ago. I took picture after picture after picture just to be sure I had a good pic of each artist in the band. I do have to say both times I have seen Simple Plan they were awesome. I know not every one will agree but I will say Simple Plan made the best performance of the evening. Granted we left before Kingston but that is beside the point.

I will have all my pictures posted sometime this weekend. I would do it now but its almost 1:30 and I have to work in the morning so everyone will just have to wait.

Once again thank you to KDWB for making this possible for every one. And most of all thank you to Josh who once again made this the best birthday I have ever had in my entire 23 years of life.
