De Rossi, 35, wore a backless, light pink dress, and her hair in a loose updo. DeGeneres, 50, dressed in pants, button-up shirt and vest all in white.
Before the intimate ceremony attended by about 20 guests, "Ellen and Portia came out and posed for pictures with Ellen's mom and their two dogs," a witness tells Usmagazine.com.
"They were hugging and kissing, and looked ecstatic," the onlooker adds. "Ellen was helping Portia with the train of her dress, which looked like a Cinderella tutu."
The pair, who "were both laughing," walked "all over the lawn together holding hands and posing," the witness tells Us. "The whole afternoon seemed light-hearted."
Earlier, workers were spotted bringing in bunches of pale pink and red roses.
Wedding plans have been in the works for months.
In May, following the California Supreme Court's monumental ruling that same sex couple's have the right to marry, DeGeneres announced on her talk show that she intended to wed her girlfriend of nearly four years.
"It's something that we've wanted to do and we want it to be legal and we are very, very excited," DeGeneres said.
In June, de Rossi debuted a marquis cut Neil Lane sparkler set with pink diamonds at the Daytime Emmy Awards.
De Rossi has credited DeGeneres with helping her come out of the closet.
"My feelings for Ellen overrode all of my fear about being out as a lesbian, she told the Advocate in September 2005.
De Rossi said the first time she spotted DeGeneres, the comedian took her breath away.
"That had never happened to me in my life, where I saw somebody and [experienced] all of those things you hear about in songs and read about in poetry. My knees were weak," de Rossi said.
In 2005, DeGeneres said she hoped she and de Rossi would be "together the rest of our lives."
"I never would have thought my life would have turned out this way," DeGeneres told Allure. "To have money. Or to have a gorgeous girlfriend. I just feel so lucky with everything in my life right now."Ellen DeG
Yesterday, UsWeekly posted these side-by-side pictures of allegedly 14-year-old (thanks Andy) Ali Lohan and asked the question: "Did Ali Lohan have a summer growth spurt?" What they really meant to say was: "Did White Oprah stuff the bitch with plastic sacks?" I wouldn't put it past WO. She probably has a plastic surgery office in her house. Anyfaketitties, HoHan is not amused. She took to her MySpace blog (yeah, she has one of those) and wrote this:
ARE THEY REAL?????
hey everyone.. i just had to share something that came up today and it made me feel a bit sick to my stomach. so, here's the visual... me and my friend Patrick walking into a store, and two paparazzi come up out of nowhere (like usual) and start throwing questions at me... one of them being, "Hey Lindsay, what do you have to say about people commenting on your sisters implants?" WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my response simply was, "Did you really just ask me that? She is a 14 year old girl, and you are a pedophile!" i was caught out of nowhere so i didn't really come up with the proper response at the time.. there's many other things that i felt like saying, but why give it to a random guy with a camera so that he can make money! All i am trying to say is, is that, i was raised with a wonderful family surrounding me, of course we have our ups and downs, but all in all my mother taught us to appreciate what we have been given. Nor would she ever encourage, or allow a 14 year old child to alter her body. i am not judging people that do, but i am just saying that its not something that my family finds necessary to do, especially when you're not even fully developed yet! It is hard enough being 14 years old and you have enough insecurities to begin with, then add being in the public eye... i just find it really disconcerting that people have to focus on the negative and that some people are sooooo bored with their own lives that they need to manifest lies to hurt another person. in a more positive light... i got some great clothes from alexander wang and i miss samantha cuz she's out of town :( have a wonderful day everyone~ til next time.. xx LL
Bernie Mac, the actor and comedian who worked his way to stardom from humble beginnings on Chicago's tough South Side, died early Saturday at the age of 50, according to The Associated Press.
"Actor/comedian Bernie Mac passed away this morning from complications due to pneumonia in a Chicago area hospital," his publicist, Danica Smith, said in a statement. She said no other details were available and requested that his family's privacy be respected. Earlier this week she had said reports of Mac's serious illness were overstated and that he was expected to make a full recovery.
In recent years, Mac (real name: Bernard Jeffery McCullough) had battled an inflammatory lung disease known as sarcoidosis, which causes inflammation in the lungs, lymph nodes and other organs. It had been in remission since 2005, and Smith had said Mac's pneumonia was not related to it.
In addition to his appearance in last year's hit "Transformers," Mac had recently been working on the TV series "Starting Under," as well as several films, including the Samuel L. Jackson flick "Soul Men" (slated for release later this year) and the John Travolta comedy "Old Dogs," which is scheduled for a 2009 release. The status of those films was unclear at press time.
Recently Mac made headlines when he attended a Barack Obama fundraiser and made a few lighthearted comments about the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee. "I'm proud of him because politics is dirty, especially with Republicans," he said. "People like rumors. They are going to say things like, you know, 'You was in the club with Lil' Kim, and you and Kanye West got in a fistfight.' " The comments garnered a rebuke from Obama's campaign.
Mac (Bernard Jeffrey McCullough) was born on October 5, 1957, in Chicago, and grew up on the city's South Side, according to AP. His first standup performance was at a church dinner when he was 8, and he began doing standup at clubs in Chicago at 20. His film career began with a small role in "Mo' Money" in 1992. Mac went on to appear in the "Ocean's 11" films with Brad Pitt and George Clooney, "Guess Who" with Ashton Kutcher, "Bad Santa," "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle" and other films.
Mac is perhaps best known for his Fox television series "The Bernie Mac Show," which aired from 2001 to 2006. The series, about a man's adventures raising his sister's three children, won a Peabody Award in 2002, and earned Golden Globe and Emmy nominations for Mac. He also was nominated for a Grammy award for best comedy album in 2001, with his "The Original Kings of Comedy" co-stars, Steve Harvey, D.L. Hughley and Cedric the Entertainer.
Mac is survived by his wife, Rhonda McCullough, their daughter, Je'Niece, a son-in-law and a granddaughter.
