    About Me I've been at KDWB for 14 years and have loved every second of it. I'm married with four amazing kids, two at home. And a Collie. And a cat. I've run 3 marathons and try to run as much as I can to stay in shape and cuz it's kind of fun. I fly little planes for fun and love to fish. And if I could do one thing all day and not get yelled at for it, I would do nothing but play video games. No lie.

    Favorite Concert(s) I've seen KISS 6 times. I get really bored and restless at concerts, but I'd see Simple Plan again in a heartbeat.

    Favorite Vacation Spot(s) I love the Black Hills, Montana, Colorado, Wyoming...And Pipestone Minnesota is the best-kept-secret for a weekend getaway. Stay at the Calumet Inn and go see the Pipestone Quarrys. Beautiful, peaceful and historic.
    Favorite Restaurant(s) Again, BWW is kick****. But I can class it up once in awhile and hit JD Hoyts or Ruth's Chris.

    Day 1 of our trip to Washington DC

    Hello from lovely Madison, Wisconsin!  Actually, we're about 9 miles north of town at the KOA Kampground.  It's Friday morning and we drove about 5 hours or so to get here yesterday.

    When we got here, we set up the tent and drove down the street to a 24-hour fireworks stand, where I bought 84 dollars worth of fireworks.

    Slept great even though it was cold.  Even Allison likes camping and road trips.  Here's a video Carson and I took this morning.

    I'm going to take a shower and then hope to be on the road by about 9:30.  We're driving to Fayette, Ohio today to see the cemetary where Susan's family, including her Mom, are buried.

    I'd better go, she just told me, "This is our vacation, not work!"

    Blinky the Clown

    Did you watch a kids show when you were little?  Maybe it was Barney or maybe Captain Kangaroo?  Or Sesame Street?  I watched a show hosted by a clown named Blinky.  And this weekend in Colorado, I went to try to find him.  Watch the video.

    Hey, y'know I've been wondering - whatever happened to Anna, from a few years ago? The whole 'i am gonna get my lawyer, and he is gonna sue the pants off of you!' gold-digger stuff? Do you remember? I can't recall if it was just a bit or if it was her truly calling in all those times, but it was still hilarious.

    The whole 'One That Got Away' debacle this morning reminded me of her!

    Dave---that was the sweetest video of you and Blinky. I bet he appreciated you to take the time to meet with him You made me tear up....
    Thanks for the advice on Runners World. I started the program on Monday (ran 1 min, walked 2), then yesterday did the 30 minute walk. I didn't get a chance to do my third day today, but will get a chance to pick up tomorrow. It was actually really easy, and my dogs loved being outside with me. Thank you so much for the advice.     Hey Dave it has been so long that I have wrote to you, I'm so glad that you have kept me on your best friend list for so long even though I have neglected you. How are things, Hope life is treating you and the family good. Do you ever take Gracie to the dog park by our houses?     My top reasons to bit ch at the pool.
    1. Dehydration ailments
    If you want to organize an assault and violence incident, stay away from hydrating. We had a rule in the arctic, hydrate or die.
    2. Shower before you get in.
    My word, if you saw how many pounds of hair and Sun tan lotions are in the pool, you'd gag.
    3. Heat stress, heat stroke, dizziness, unconsciousness, sudden sleepiness, are all an element of loss of body water. Besides when you get real dehydrated, you will probably throw up. Yak is not made to swim in, they are planes made in USSr.
    You know, just because you are in the water, does not mean you are intaking water, which means bring your own or use a water fountain.

    So yeah, I am dissapointed that Gina won the "I used to be hot" competition. Publically speaking poorly of an opponent is just bad form. This isn't the UFC for god sakes, have a little class Gina!!

    She may have been pretty on the outside before, but I am wondering if she was EVER pretty on the inside.
