And so I rant on again.

    Friday, May 23, 2008, 12:39 PM [General]

This blog is a response to the AP story from 05/20 about "Paper money discriminates against the blind" I totally got off point pretty much right away, but still to me its a valid perspective...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA - I was burned over 35% of my body including both hands, both feet and both legs. This happened in 1979 when I was 20 months old and I even got paid for it as it was not my fault. The point here is that I have no finger prints!!! Finger printing has been used by the American government since 1904 in many ways. Nowa days not only does law enforcement use finger prints to track everyone and anyone they can. But also banks, hospitals and even grocery stores use them to ID and secure accounts. If paper money discriminates against the blind, then certainly finger printing discriminates against burn victims, right? - HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Is it really that paper money discriminates or is it the fact that now the internet allows everyone and their crazy uncle to get organized and pick their cause of the day? Isn't it really that humans in all cultures, in someway are vane and want what they consider to be the 15 minutes of fame they believe they are entitled to. We as a society here in America Amerexico have come to a point when we walk down a street and see a box, we kick it over call it "soap", then climb up on it and complain about everything irrelevant whilst turning a blind eye daily to the real source of all our problems. AMERICANS!!!

We have a constitution that is hundreds of years and generations out of date which is regardless considering that we don't have a government for the people nor by the people anymore. Even if our standards and principals were up to date. Even if we all stood up, spoke out and demanded change. Our greedy, inept, bias, self serving, bureaucratic, circle jerking, citizen stomping, state and land raping government would still sit behind their old growth hardwood desks implementing policy that continues to screw the working men and women as well as every branch of armed service people of this nation. All in an effort to agreagously line their silk pockets, end their farcity (I.E. terms of office) and sail off into the green house gas laden sunset on their oil guzzling modes of transport and never look back at the billions of people that gave them their power, signed their checks(or should I say interest payments) and bottom line the rightful, tax paying citizens of this so called great nation.

I was born in America, educated in America and refuse to believe that there is any place else with more potential or opportunity for greatness on planet earth. I am only 31 so to some degree just a babe compared to others yet it is obvious to me and everyone around me how bad things have gotten since the last world war and only Americans standing together can solve these problems and only after much personal sacrifice and endured efforts for the sake of this nation and all its rightful population equally.

Some might say that things were pretty good in the times following WWII - Joblessness went down, industrial growth went up, more and more people gained rights and freedoms. All of that is true but the mentality is the same today, "give me money, give me material things, I just want to have fun and believe that I am safe". In the last how many years many banks have thrown money at too many people who couldn't afford it and now just about every town, school & business in America is struggling or worse, GOING UNDER! We have pro athlete's and millionaire's being foreclosed upon and sleeping in their beamers. If they are waining what about the half dozen lower income brackets blow the extremely wealthy? That's why Mr. Bush implemented more worthless policy where every American will somehow magically get some money in an effort to keep the masses happy, blind and to continue their aggressive over spending. Even though that same office continues to borrow more international money just to pay the interest payments on the BS loans that they and their fore fathers entered into and that we as a nation never agreed to. Just like all his/their other policies and endeavors - worthless!

The problem is George, along with everything else the stimulus plan was ill conceived and also short sighted just like all the others. By 2009 everyone in America will see that the only free resources this nation had available in the last eight years were the hot gasses protruding from that decrepit hole you call a mouth. But that won't matter to you, by then you will be out of the oval office and on to book deals and lobbying for your pals just like Mr. Bill and to you that's just fine and dandy considering that now you will be able to hunt and fish 365 days a year instead of the 360 days each year for the last 8 years of your reign. And with all the oil policy you've bunged up the system with Mr. Texas oil man, you will continue to get richer and richer regardless of all the other advantages of being a former politician good, bad or indifferent. meanwhile the rest of us suffer and worry.

Hilary, Obama, Johnny, they all equal the same thing George Dubya, Mr. Bill & George H Dubya regardless of party politics.

It is so obvious that party politics have turned into peer group mentalities, I scratch your back, you scratch mine, we get paid and forget anyone in the path of destruction. Because lets face it, once your term is over its not your problem anymore right? I wonder how they would feel if their stimulus checks showed up wrong or not at all? Still in office or not you darn well know they would be calling the highest guy on the totem poll demanding justice and fair play then. And the really sad thing is, they will get it and we won't

I've said it before Bugs Bunny in 09 - I'm not trying to be funny, I just happen to think that this nation's youth and future generations could relate better to a comic animated character and really Bugs or Sponge Bob would do just as well considering an animated character will do as much for this country as all the latest politicians from the last 4 decades - Nothing!!!!

Matt, Rochelle, Bergen Franklin where did you go?!

    Friday, April 25, 2008, 11:45 AM [General]

Matt & Rochelle's Reception at Wilson Park in St. Cloud.

    Hello,

We have lost some very dear friends, can you help us find them?  Thier names are Mathew, Rochelle & Bergen Franklin.  We have not seen or spoken to them in nearly 4 years.  They are married and may even have another child now.  Last time we were in touch they were living in St. Cloud and I am sure they still have family near there.  They both attended St. Cloud State.  At one point he was working at various stores for Best Buy.

Honestly, my wife and I are very confused at why they fell out of touch and now we have no way to contact them.  I have posted pictures of them in my blog photos as well.  Slim chance I know, but if anyone recognizes them or can let them know we are looking for him that would be great.  We haven't moved, our numbers are the same so if you see them, give em a swift kick in the arse (well Matt anyway) and tell him to pick up a phone geeeeez!

    Thanks,

    Andrew.

Texas - One part brave, three parts fool.

    Friday, April 18, 2008, 12:16 PM [General]

-This is what I wrote to a school distict in Texas for suspending a student for taking an authorized call from his dad serving in Iraq while on school campus -

    http://www.parentdish.com/2008/04/16/dad-calls-from-iraq-son-gets-suspended/?icid=100214839x1200190493x1200007021

    To whom that this concerns,

My name is Andrew, I am a Husband & father to 3 children.  My father is a Vietnam veteran and if not for a crippling injury as a child there is no doubt in my mind that I too would have had a long term of service for our country and this world.

I am truly confused by what I have read.  I am aware of the statement made by your superintendent, that "the issue has been resolved".  I whole heartedly agree with Mr. & Mrs. Hill on the subject that any negative reflection on Brandon's record should be ex sponged immediately!

There was an agreement between the administration and the Hill family to allow these calls and even if there were no such agreement.  It is absolutely paramount that all levels of state as well as federal offices respect and honor the fact that not only has Master Sgt. Hill made a magnificent sacrifice for the sake of every single person on this planet including his family, my family as well as your obtuse administration and so on!

But also, there must also be a conscious and concerned effort made to understand and accommodate the needs of the families of our service men and women across the board.  If not for our soldiers across the world and through out the span of all time, you would not have the privilege let alone any right to the country which provided you the opportunity and freedom to gain an education that along with your own efforts or dedications now allow you to sit atop your judgmental tower enabling you to pass down this insensitive and non American dictator like power trip that your administration has obviously embarked upon.

I'll end this rant with my final statement.  All idealism aside.  We as parents here in Minnesota (having family in Texas as well) struggle with our own local political turmoil and agendas as well as the rhetoric and financial misappropriations within our local school district and state government.  So we as a state, county and township are by no means perfect.  But, considering that the state of Texas puts more of its depraved criminals to death every year than any other state including ours.  This fact is supported by crediting Texas' federal & state court cooperativeness, it just seems to me that y'all should have a firm grasp on the difference between right from wrong and what respecting this nation and its citizens requires.  In this man's own opinion you have fallen very short of the end zone on that one!  I am ashamed to share my country and its resources with people like you!

    Sincerely Frustrated,
    Andrew

    P.S.
I also find it hilarious that there are direct contact links for everyone in the upper administration of your district except of course for the superintendent herself.  Granted we can can't just pick up the phone or compose an e mail to our commander and chief either, but hunny you ain't the president!
