I'm so glad the lavender is helping! Allowing yourself to relax is one of the biggest hurdles to falling asleep, so if it helps with that, you shouldn't be too far away from a good night's rest. Keep me posted!

Yikes. Have you seen a doctor for your insomnia? Otherwise, putting lavender essential oil on a band-aid on your chest has been known to help. Lavender is a very calming scent, and if it's on your chest, you breathe it in all night. Give it a shot!

My Dad was pretty quiet too, but I realized when I got older that he loved me, he was just never good at expressing it. One of life's great mysteries, why we can love someone so much but find it so hard to say it sometimes?

Insomnia? Yikes. Have you tried buying some old nursing school manuals and reading those before bed? Word on the street is that they'll put you to sleep ASAP. No funny intended; I knew a chick in nursing school with insomnia, and her nursing books always helped her fall asleep.
