Dear Diary:
I've lost 18 pounds, and I have 12 more to go. This is where I start getting nervous, because I don't want to run out of steam. When you first start losing weight, you get all motivated and excited, and your life revolves around working out and losing weight. But I've found myself slipping here and there (and sneaking some refined sugar! GASP!) and I don't want to screw this up. I'm hanging out with a bunch of different people this weekend, and that always involves food, because that's how people celebrate things. When's the last time you had a gathering that DIDN'T revolve around the appetizers or dinner table? People just naturally hang out in the kitchen, too. I'm going to try to be on my guard this weekend, because I think that if I'm prepared ahead of time to be good, then it won't be such a buzzkill when I have to forgo the Doritos. But man, Doritos are amazing. I keep forgetting that they exist, and then I'll go to someone's house and see them, and I'll be like, "Oh MAN! I forgot that those things existed!" and it's like Christmas.
