    Christmas in July

    Well, it's almost here the 4th of July, my husbands all time favorite holiday (and starting to become mine too!).  He is a total pyromaniac, has been his whole life- loves fire and blowing #$*@ up!  He has recently took his "test"-whatever it was to become a licensed fireworks starter (he seriously considers this one of his biggest accomplishments in life- (aside from his wife and kids- I hope :).  He is crazy- gotta love him though!  We have a huge party at our house every year the night before the 4th, this year is going to be a tricky one for him with the bum knee and all... but he ordered a remote starter so he can hook everything up and just press a button to start them- our luck they won't work! 

    Two days and counting!!!

    rock and roll room

    So my oldest son really wants to move downstairs to his own room... we talked and decided to go ahead and do it.  Parker is really into music and his guitar so I decided to do a kind of "rock and roll" theme.  I painted the walls yesterday a dark gray and I am going to paint two metallic gold rectangles and then hang his guitars withing the rectangles.  I ordered three different yards of material (one has guitars on it, the other music notes and the third is musical too!)  My mom said she would make all the boys a quilt.  I won a beatles print on e-bay- I really think it is going to look great when it all comes together!!!  I am very excited!

    Trip

    So- my best friend really wants me to go on a trip with her this year, she wants to go back to Miami and see the Madonna concert while there.  I REALLY want to, I do- but I am pretty sure this is going to be a hard one to talk my hubby into.  He was really cool about the trip last year- but doing a "girl" trip to Miami two years in a row may be pushing it.  The other thing is that it is right over Thanksgiving, we could make it back on the day of Thanksgiving but it would be a bummer to miss it with my family- or be late.  The concert is the night before.  If I don't go this year, I am for sure going back the next year though- I need to go back there, I loved it so much!  I am just going to wait until he is in a great mood- then just slowly mention it to him... wish me luck!

    Got my hair colored dark again- thank god, I hated the blond (I didn't have more fun with it at all!!!)    :)

    Hey there sweetie! How the hell are you? I am ok...Friday - I am going out of town. The boys and I are going on a plane and headed to the East Coast. HUGE family reunion. Italians and Irish-folk...holy drink fest! I CANNOT WAIT. I get back Sunday. Are you going to Booty Cruise?? YOU SHOULD GO!! If not - lets do drinks maybe NEXT weekend? Like the 26th or something... So where u been? What ya been up to? How is life? I started these new classes that are keeping me in shape - they are awesome... Still wanna go running and/or biking!!

    thanks for the kudos on the poem. it blows my mind how fast time goes by... I just remembered next Thursday I have a friend's party to go to in the evening. How abouts next Saturday instead? SORRY I am a bonehead. :o( I am home with the little one today and my schedule is at work.

    No I am not part of the running club - are you? I have some time Saturday - wanna go? :o) If not - any Wed or Thurs I do not have the kids. Wednesdays are TBALL practice - so after 7 on those days is usually good. Then every other weekend. But the kids could ride bikes er something while we run. WOW - that will be a boy fest eh? HA - I cannot wait!

    OMG how funny! We have gone riding before today - but it seems like all of a sudden he just cannot go anywhere!!! WHO KNOWS! I do know it is TIME FOR A NEW ONE! I felt SOOO bad for him, I just wanted to make a new one appear for him, cause he would have probably SMOKED us. But, I stayed back with him and he tried his hardest to keep up with the rest of us - but it was exhausting to watch. Poor lil guy! Re: training - lets plan something SOON!

    hey whats UP?? Nice to meet ya ;o) I see you are a runner - that is awesome. I am new to the running world - but I LOVE it I go around Lake Calhoun whenever I can- also loving biking.     No kidding! I've been wearing a jacket to work all year! And it was really cold this morning Burr! Maybe when we all stop wondering and give up it will finally just get nice and summery hot outside... then again... I sure some people will find it too hot!

    Hey Good to hear that you are Alive again!

    In truth my sickness is rather managable... more so just won't go away... it's been two weeks of a cold and allergies, but I know that I've gotten it a lot easier than many, as I haven't had to miss any work or anything yet.
