    My Trip To Wisconsin

If you haven't heard us talk about it on the radio or read on my blog, Saturday was the conclusion of 7 long BUT fun months coaching girls volleyball.  I learned a lot of great lessons. I learned to deal with people and how fun its to be apart of a great organization.  There were problems, upset players, parents and believe it or not even coaches.  I wish I could say Wisconsin Dells was the team's finest hour, that we played INCREDIBLE volleyball but the cards (or balls) didn't fall in the in right places.  Overall I'm impressed with the girls, they developed a ton on the court and it was really cool to be apart of their success.

One of the highlights as a coach was at the end when we all gave each other hugs and the team gave me a really nice thank you card.  (I'll post the card tomorrow.)

Something that surprised me during the trip, the girls all went crazy when "Father of the Bride 2" was on TV.  They girls were 3 when that movie was in the theaters but they knew every single line.

Another highlight, Wendy, the defensive specialist on the team broke a world record ( I think) when she caught a grape from the 4th floor of our hotel.  It was funny because earlier in the day we were tossing grapes and she caught everyone, I even threw on straight up overhand and she caught it.  It was INCREIDBLE.

Would I coach again, yup, if your given the opportunity, do it...I promise you'll have a lot of fun while learning a TON.
