To all faithful listeners:

Thank you so much for opening your arms and welcoming me into the KDWB family. I can't believe that it's been a year! I am so grateful for the memories I've made and the experiences I've had. You have all been so wonderful to get to know and I only wish that I could take each and every one of you with me to St. Cloud. This is a great chance for me to branch out and apply the things I've learned so I'm really excited about my new job. I am happy to say that it's FULL TIME and with full benefits!!! Yay! I'm growing up right in front of your eyes eh? Again, thank you all so very much for being the wonderful listeners you are and for appreciating the weird things I do...ex. my white girl dance, saying "the bomb diggity" and my Elvis obsession! I will never forget you!

I consider you to be a big bro....only you ask if you can wiggle on me and give me a motorboat which is weird! Thank you for being patient with me because I know that I can be difficult sometimes, nothing that a shot of Hennessey and Jose Cuervo can't cure though eh? Oh man that made me so sick! I will miss our idiotic banter like you would not believe! Even though you think that I take you seriously when you make fun of me, trust me, I don't! I apologize in advance for my crabbiness in the following blog....

 I'm not gonna lie to you, New Year's Resolutions piss me off. NO ONE can ever follow through with them for an entire year so then you feel like crap because you couldn't keep that promise to yourself and you feel worse than you did before you made the resolution! I try to keep it simple and try to make it an attainable goal but I ALWAYS fall short. I will give you a little list of the habits I haven't been able to break....YEAR AFTER YEAR!

1. Return Phone calls and emails....Resolution since 2000......Goal not reached

2. Don't overbook my schedule......Resolution since 2001......Goal not reached

3. Fit into a size 8 ( HAHA ) ....... Resolution since birth.......Goal not reached

4. Stop drinking pop.......Resolution since 2003.......Goal not reached

5. Stop going to the bars so much.......Resolution since 2005......Goal not reached ( except when I don't have any money! )

I don't know why I can't follow through with resolutions but I do know I need to do something about it. Maybe I can't do these because there are so many things that I want to change in my life.....I want to get my own apartment again, make more money, not be so pessimistic :) , take a vacation, lose all the weight I've gained the past two years and find a guy who is actually interested in me. That list could be longer but this blog is entirely too long as it is. Writing all of this out could be my own version of therapy and if you have any suggestions or want to do a progress report with me about how well we're doing on resolutions, just  let me know and we can get through this together. But for now.....I don't have a resolution because that is setting myself up for failure.

Oh man, I'm gaining weight by the minute and it's about time to stop! I can't stand not being able to fit into my cute pair of jeans :(  My friend Abby made an absolutely WONDERFUL dinner for me last night but it made me realize that I need to stop eating so much because I felt as if my tummy would explode....sorry to paint that picture! I used to go to the gym but I've been incredibly lazy for the past 11 months or so haha, yeah it's been that long! I am one of those people who bought one of those workout balls for your abs and I also bought a workout mat for the Pilates tape I got....ask me if I've used either of them.....that would be a NO. I've tried the workout ball at the gym and I literally fell off....not cool. As if I didn't look geeky enough with my old Elvis nightshirt and sweatpants...not to mention all sweaty from just jogging on the treadmill for only 20 minutes! I don't even want to tell you what happens on the stair stepper...I can't focus long enough to not trip up the darn thing! Ok, I'm done. Have a great day!

Hey there!

 I'm so sorry that I haven't been on Connect in a while! Sometimes I get in one of those moods where I just hate computers and really want nothing to do with them! To be honest with you, all I do on the computer is check email once a day, check facebook religiously and go on instant messenger. When I lived on my own, I NEVER used my laptop and then I got really frustrated at school because they were the ones that made me buy it! I'm also not very computer savvy so that could have something to do with it also. Oh well.

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend to spend relaxing, shopping and catching up with family. I didn't really do anything over the weekend that I thought I would do. My best friend flew in from Colorado on the Saturday before Thanksgiving so we went out that night and had a blast. I almost didn't want her to come home because I knew she had to leave on Friday, which was FAR too soon! She's been my best friend since we were in 3rd grade so we actually consider each other as sisters. We went out on Wednesday night before Thanksgiving also and that was really fun also. It was a Roseville reunion over at the Hoggsbreath and I have to say that I got a little tipsy :) It was ALL in good fun and I'm just happy how the night turned out because I had fun. I was introduced to a new shot that night...it tasted like peppermint and I think it was called "Dr....?" I can't remember what the rest of it is. I was so bored on Saturday that I actually raked the leaves in the front yard for my dad.....yeah, I'm a fun girl eh? I guess it had to be done and at least it was a nice day. Good Lord I feel old now! ;)

I'm getting really excited for Christmas now. It is absolutely my FAVORITE time of year! I listen to Christmas music all year round so this is the time when I actually seem normal. The only problem with this time of year is when it's over, I feel so sad! I really don't have anything to look forward to until spring break in March and I'm not in school anymore so that really doesn't even apply to me :(  I never even think about Valentine's Day because I NEVER have a date so I just consider it another day. I do love decorating though! I volunteer to decorate and all of my friends houses and sometimes they take me up on it but they know that if I come over, I'm bringing the Elvis Christmas album! I hope to make it to the Macy's Holidazzle Parade at least twice this year. I love seeing all of the families all huddled and smiling at the lights going by, it's just adorable!
