    New Year's Resolutions

    Wednesday, January 2, 2008, 11:41 AM [General]

I apologize in advance for my crabbiness in the following blog....

I'm not gonna lie to you, New Year's Resolutions piss me off. NO ONE can ever follow through with them for an entire year so then you feel like crap because you couldn't keep that promise to yourself and you feel worse than you did before you made the resolution! I try to keep it simple and try to make it an attainable goal but I ALWAYS fall short. I will give you a little list of the habits I haven't been able to break....YEAR AFTER YEAR!

    1. Return Phone calls and emails....Resolution since 2000......Goal not reached

    2. Don't overbook my schedule......Resolution since 2001......Goal not reached

    3. Fit into a size 8 ( HAHA ) ....... Resolution since birth.......Goal not reached

    4. Stop drinking pop.......Resolution since 2003.......Goal not reached

    5. Stop going to the bars so much.......Resolution since 2005......Goal not reached ( except when I don't have any money! )

I don't know why I can't follow through with resolutions but I do know I need to do something about it. Maybe I can't do these because there are so many things that I want to change in my life.....I want to get my own apartment again, make more money, not be so pessimistic :) , take a vacation, lose all the weight I've gained the past two years and find a guy who is actually interested in me. That list could be longer but this blog is entirely too long as it is. Writing all of this out could be my own version of therapy and if you have any suggestions or want to do a progress report with me about how well we're doing on resolutions, just  let me know and we can get through this together. But for now.....I don't have a resolution because that is setting myself up for failure.

Good news for you-- you're 23 and have a ton of time to accomplish the things you wanna accomplish.

It's a will power thing. You have it, lady, I know you do. Just remember you need to do things GRADUALLY. This is the reason 99% of people fail with goals like "don't drink pop anymore" and "go to the gym." Most people go cold turkey on pop and seem to think they need to go to the gym every day for 2 hours. NO ONE will stick to that. It's too hard. Start going to the gym for 30-45 minutes 3 days a week. Build up from there. You never need to be there more than an hour.

IVE GOT YOUR BACK CHICKY, don't quit on yourself. You have too much potential and I refuse to watch my friends give up on themselves. Work on YOU first, and the right guy will come into your life at the right time. :)

Cheer up, it's a new year!

Another hawt woman talking about how hard it is finding a guy that is interested in her. Is it that hard? Christ sakes. Sorry, but it's really annoying to hear this day in and day out now. Not just from you, but every woman I speak to here.

If you do everything in moderation, then it isn't bad for you. If there is something about you that you don't like (which is hard to believe) then make the change. If you don't make the change, then it wasn't something worth noticing in the first place. Focus your energy on something positive. Like me:).

And yes, you need to start responding back to me, because I hate writing you and getting a response like years later or never. I get confused as to what your talking about when you do finally write back and I feel like I am being ignored when you don't. Like I did something wrong. I miss ya C-diddy.

Put a smile on your face. Your beautiful and funny. You have your whole life ahead of you. Believe it!

Awww, Wilson. I can't help you with much of your resolutions...one of mine is to work out more...which normally would involve going to the gym...but I am not quite on top of expenses, so I haven't joined a membership. So, it's crunches & free weights in my apartment in the meantime...
I wouldn't worry too much about the weight thing. I mean, in all your pictures, I think you are absolutely beautiful! Sure, I'm certain there are several guys from this site who will sit there and tell you how hot you are b/c they want to get in your pants.
But, when it comes right down to it, you are a very attractive woman with intelligence and strong convictions...which adds to the sexiness.
So, I wish you luck on reaching your goals!!!

    Hey Wilson!

I totally understand about the resolution thing. I did make one this year and it's one of the same ones you said you have made in the past...I'm going to lose weight. I have gained so much since I met my now husband, it's redonkulous! I did join a gym right before Christmas and have been forcing myself to get up at 3:30 every morning since so I can be there by 4, in the shower by 5, and on the road for work by 6. It's working so far so, if you want to do a progress report, I'm here for you! I have a lot of other things I want to change too but I'm trying to take it one at a time!

By the way, I know this is WAAAAAYYYY overdue but I wanted to ask how Graceland was? I've been there once but it was a long time ago. Talk to you later!

    Elvis rocks!
