Hello, Hello.

Well I've just come from my day of training at Sanctuary Spa in EP.  I am feeling more comfortable with starting tomorrow in my spa.  Actually I'm down right excited.  I can't wait to arrange things the way I want and make things my own.  I am the only nail tech at Uru Khu for the time being.  Once business picks up they will hire at least one more.  They just opened the spa area in November, so it may take a bit to get a regular nail clientele.  But I am up for the challenge!

I found out my schedule yesterday.  I will be working Wednesday-Sunday.  I have Mon & Tue off.  It's nice to have two days in a row off for going on vacation.  The only draw back I have come across so far is daycare issues.  Grr.  I will be working till at least 6pm every night and every weekend.  My dilema is that my daughter's afterschool program ends at 6pm.   My friend offered to take her some evenings and some weekends, and my mom can take her every other weekend and take her in the evenings after she gets off of work, but that still leaves me to find someone to fill in the cracks.  So I need someone for every other weekend and someone to pick her up from her program and keep her until my mom can pick her up.  Any suggestions?

Today is really nice, well it's warm.  The wind I could do without!  After I pick Jaz up I think we are going to go to the park.  We'll see anyhow, if it gets too windy we might just have to enjoy the warm weather from our balcony. :) 

Tonight is American Idol night.  I am looking forward to see what Mariah Carey does with the contestants.  I also am looking forward to seeing how David Cook will adapt one of her songs to suit him.

Oh and one last note.....I still haven't won Star Party tix.  :(  I really want to go!  It falls right between my birthday (the 10th) and my graduation ceremony (the 19th)  What a great present that would be.   Hint hint... j/k  I know I have to win them fair and square.

Ok.  So I meant to do this update thing once a day, but apparently I am too lazy. lol.  So here it is almost a week later and I'm finally updating.

Well I had my interview at Uru Khu and it went really well.  I was asked back for a technical on Thursday. (A technical is where you actually preform a service, in my case a manicure, to show your actual skills) Well I did great and was hired on the spot.  Tomorrow I start my training at Sanctuary Spa in EP.  So I am very proud of myself and now a little nervous.  It's always a little nerve wracking starting a new position.  I just hope that I can settle into my new environment with little difficulties.  :)

I didn't really do much over the weekend.  My big boy came over Friday and Saturday.  Or shall I say Saturday morning and Sunday morning.  4am and 3am respectively.  He was making beats both nights and actually made some pretty good beats, but damn I was tired by the time he got here.  Not that I stayed up for him or anything.  I had insomnia on Friday night.  I didn't get to sleep until 5am. Grrr.  I hate when that happens.  Of course I tried to go to sleep naturally, but by 2:30am I decided it was time to take the Lunesta.  I think it was finally kicking in when he showed up.  I remember him asking if I was drunk.  Apparently my motor skills are severly lacking once my sleeping pill kicks in.  lol.

New note today.  I pissed off my best friend on accident.  All over the stupid 20,000 contest too.  I was explaining what the constest was and she was upset because she doesn't have a cell phone. Well she does have one, but it's her husband's.  Anyhoo, she thought it was unfair to everyone who doesn't have a cell phone.  She didn't understand why you couldn't win with your home phone.  I guess I really don't understand either, but it wasn't that big of a deal to me.  I told her if she was worried about the Star Party tix she could just always make up a cell phone number and then it wouldn't matter because no matter what you get Star Party tix.  I don't know.  She was just really making a big deal about it.  I know she was being somewhat sarcastic, but still nbd.  I jokingly told her to "Calm down Chauncey".  In a joking matter.  I didn't think she was that worked up about the stupid contest rules.  But then she said she had been joking, but now she was just irritated at me and that she needed to get off the phone with me and hung up.  Well she did say goodbye, but she didn't give me the chance to even respond, not that I would've I was too in shock.  Oh well. It will all be fine.  It will all be some big misunderstanding. 

I'm always confused, nothing new.  :)

Well today is my first update, so I will get you up to speed.  I graduated last Tuesday from the Minnesota School of Cosmetology.  I am now a certified nail technician.  ^{(Check out the nails I've done in my pics)} I say certified and not licensed because I haven't received my license in the mail yet.  I sent it out yesterday so I hope I get it soon.  :)  I have my first job interview tomorrow.  I'm really excited.  It's at Uru Khu Salon and Spa in Eden Prairie.  They specialize in natural nail services, which is what I really want to do.  I really hope I get this job.  So wish me luck.  I am applying at other places too, it's just that I am hoping this salon will be the perfect one for me.  Does anyone know any other great Salons that offer nail services in my area?  So far I've emailed resumes to: Uru Khu, Salon Monton, Spalon Montage, Fusion Life Spa, Future Concept Salon.... a few others as well.

Other than the job search I have a couple other things going on in my life.  I am the mother to a wonderful little 7 y.o. girl.  Her name is Jasmine.  She keeps me on my toes.  I am also starting to get into the dating scene.  EEK!  I am still seeing my big boy on and off, but I don't know if he is really serious or not.  I think I'm just convenient for him.  So that means I need to start branching out.  I really want to meet a nice guy who is stable.  By stable I mean he has a job, his own place, his own vehicle, NO FELONYS, and is looking to find a woman to share his life with.  I still like going out and having fun so I'm not looking for a fuddy duddy by any means, but I'm also not looking for a playboy.  Just a nice mixture.  LOL.

Ok so that's the back story...now for today's updates.

Today I had my doctors appointment and it took forever :(  I wanted to go tanning today, but after the appointment my tummy hurt.  I think the stuff they made me drink made it feel icky.  So I went home.  I've been listening to KDWB to try to win Star Party tickets, so while I was doing that I set up this page.  I caught part of the Tyra Show.  What a pile of poo.  She had kids who were having sex in their school on.   Is this really a huge problem?  I mean I knew of a couple people who had sex in school when I was in HS, but I guess it wasn't a big deal.  I never did it, but that's just me.  I started to watch a movie that I rented from my Blockbuster online thingy.  It was "Things we lost in the Fire"  I got through about 45 min of it before Jerusha called.  It was ok, but kinda boring.  Now I have to watch the rest so I can send it back and get something else.  Now the biggest plans for the night are watching American Idol (Go David Cook) and going to bed.
